As we continue to build the Forge network across Canada, we will continue to use hubs as one of our main organizational building blocks. So you may have a few questions about what a hub is or what it does. Have a look below and if we don't answer your question drop us an email by clicking here.
What are Hubs?
The FMTN hubs are clusters of new and existing missional leaders who are gathered together in community in a city for the purpose of journeying towards a more missional expression of the church in Canada. For some, this may mean a greater emphasis on helping their existing church to become more missional and to live out their faith as a community in their neighbourhood, and for others this may be starting a new community of faith that will live incarnationally in their mission field.
Why Hubs?
We believe that equipping and educating needs to happen through the local church and be supported by the seminaries. Therefore it is crucial that hubs (or learning communities) are established in each city so that not only is the process for developing missional leaders one of education, but also of experience. This is best done in the context of developing community.
How do I join a Hub?
The best way to do this will be to contact the leader who is in your region. By going to the Hub Regions page, you will discover the regional leader in your area, and their contact information and be able to connect with them. They will then be able to explain to you the process for application. Alternatively, you can connect with Cam Roxburgh at

.
What is my commitment to the Hub?
In order to see a maximum gain in the hub, one needs to contribute ot the life of the hub. We are asking for 2 one year commitments. The nature of the hub is that you can join in either year of the 2-year process and therefore we are asking each person to covenant for the first year and then to re-evaluate with the hub leader at the end of the first year whether a second would be helpful.
Is there any cost in joining a Hub?
The FMTN is trying to keep costs to a minimum. There will be a fee for participation in the hub on a yearly basis. This fee will be listed on the hubs page in the near future. For those who desire to get their Masters or Bachelors degree, the cost of credit will be dependent on each of the schools fee's.
How do I learn more about Hubs?
If you need more information on the hubs that is not listed on the website, the simplest way is to contact your regional leader.
Will there be more Hub locations?
Our desire is to see hubs available right across the country in the next few years so that we really are a missional movement in Canada.
Can I start a Hub?
